That is a 10 year old codec, not a DAC, a DAC is only one part of a codec.

Computers generally tend to have full-blown codec chips with analog mixers in them rather than standalone DACs, though.

Depends on the model, cirrus codecs used in almost all mac's do all their mixing digitally for example.
