I hope this doesn't mean that frame.work is planning to stick with Intel processors even for its next gen laptops? Many of us are eagerly waiting for the AMD models.

On a slightly different note, this is again a good example of how Intel continues to oneup AMD through its business and management practices, even when AMD has better products. Ofcourse AMD can't be imitate Intel in spending money and undercutting them (sometimes illegally), but they should certainly try to copy some of the decent practices of Intel, like for e.g. supporting hardware manufacturers by offering reference designs. China has many Intel tablets because of this. It is easier to develop hardware with Intel processors because Intel offers more support (free and paid). Something AMD needs to focus on more and fix. They really need to work on their PR and sales tactic.
