Interesting. I see it used on one of my python gae apps but not the other. One uses .appspot.com and the other a custom domain.
Edit: The one at appspot.com has spdy.

Are you using SSL on the appspot.com app? IIRC SPDY requires SSL.

Strangely, the one at appspot.com isn't using SSL, but it is going over SPDY anyway according to Chrome.
