It's understandable that Facebook needs partners to execute their vision of connecting people. I'm rooting that they end up succeeding, but if its through restricting people with low incomes to services which the connected masses don't normally use (Bing) it sux.

it says for beginners in the title.

"for those who come into the JavaScript world for the first time but already have some experiences in another languages"

Well it says,"Show HN: A concise Javascript tutorial for beginners"

Good intention. I would work on your copy. Perhaps "request for solutions".

could you talk about your experiences with each and how different or similar they are?

find something personal to do. Call your family or loved ones. catchup with an old friend. go out on a date. be socially relevant

This seems too good to be true. Are there any plans of making the curriculum available to students who are not in the US. Perhaps for a fee? You could reach a wider audience. Don't know how the internship thing would work. As a student on leave from school in the US, this is something i could see myself doing

As someone learning to code i can relate. Here's how i look at things - if you're successful and it takes off, which i hope it does. The challenges you'll face then will be more tougher than learning how to code a initial prototype. Go as much as you can into the prototype without someone else. test it with a small group of people , get some feedback. this way you'll have a fair idea of how things work. Also you will be able to evaluate someone you're going to partner with in the future. Hope this helps. Good luck :)

Do you list companies that are pro-remote?

You can also check out this repo for remote friendly companies: https://github.com/lukasz-madon/awesome-remote-job/

I do have an option for the companies to tell if they accept remote work but I do not have a specific list/feature for pro-remote companies.

From what i read about them here(not related to YC in any way), All are welcome as long as they make something people want.

is this her recent conference talk in a blogpost?

Yep, as mentioned at the bottom. "(This post was derived from the talk I gave at Y Combinator's Female Founders Conference in 2015.)"
