Portland's Clackamas Town Center used to have a beautiful skating rink, large fountains next to escalators, and foliage. This has mostly been replaced with a seating area, a larger food court, and more shops. It's considerably less appealing to just _be_ in, at least for me. I miss stuff like that.
I'm starting to get tired of the cookie-cutter Bootstrap and Squarespace templates taking over the web. This is a refreshing read, I like the comparisons it makes to brutalism in architecture.
It's backwards, though, because Bootstrap and Squarespace are Brutalist (to whatever extent that word really applies to the web at all): cheap, egalitarian, and simple to use.
"And until this feature is ready, we will no longer be deleting any executives’ messages. We should have done this sooner — and we’re sorry that we did not."
This says a lot about the current situation. What else don't we know?
Oof, roofing sucks. I'm glad it helped you with your fear of heights though!
Random anecdote, I slowly got used to being high in the air on ski lifts. Kinda frustrating for me because I really wanted to snowboard but HATED the lifts. Still love snowboarding, still hate looking down. ._.
