One could even argue it's better in some ways, for example: "PowerShell differs from Unix/Linux in that .NET objects are passed between stages in the pipeline instead of text. This eliminates the need to explicitly parse text output.
Have you ever used .NET? I'd be interested to hear what you dislike about it. Seems to be quite popular among people where I've worked as well as here on HN.
Huh, seems I'm a strange guy. From the "everybody has read" list I just read 2 books (pragmatic programmer and the 2nd edition) but from the list "everybody recommends but no one actually reads" I only haven't read introduction to algorithms.
I'm pretty sure they mean jQuery. Coffeescript is on the list as a separate item so that can't be it. Not much popularity behind Objective J and such. Definitely one of the javascript libs, I think we can all agree the javascript language sucks.
Only most lines of linux code are written by people who are paid for doing so. If it wasn't for companies that put money into linux development linux would be a lot less useful.
I'd write a bot that would answer with a TWSS-trigger and watch the IRC channel going up in flames :]
