There are a bunch of lists out there for these variants. I wrote a small one as a weekend project to learn React and AWS. People seem to like it since I've only shared it on my personal FB and it's getting hundreds of hits a day. I'll plug it here since you seem like an "rdle" lover.

want to add one more? I've been making a clone that isn't different from the base experience but focuses on challenging friends instead of the once a day thing.

This is a super cynical take and does not at all address the wants and needs of the majority of users. Removing the need for a gaming PC reduces the barrier to entry and increases the number of people with access to PC games. Not everyone cares about modding their experience, but tons of people would benefit from access to these otherwise unreachable games. Their access through game streaming platforms doesn't hurt your ability to mod.

This is not important at all for someone who is a gaming enthusiast and doesn't want services like Stadia to become the new norm and have their enthusiast hobby heavily locked down by publishers and cloud services.

FWIW this misses the context that they'll already be banned 1 week before Nov 3. This just extends that ban beyond the election.

The numbers look right to me. Try applying to FAANG!

If anything, the bay area numbers seem on the low side to me.

Suboptimal for sure.

The truth is that in some areas, superchargers are already behind demand. Superchargers need to have more stalls than peak demand because charging is already slow compared to fueling up with gasoline. The time disparity is fine if there's no wait because it basically fills the need for most people's necessary occasional rest stops anyhow, but adding more wait would turn it into a negative experience.

I haven't yet had to wait for a supercharger, but I have seen full superchargers that I haven't needed to use. With the huge increase in vehicles from the 3's being sold, I expect congestion to increase before it's counteracted by more charging options.

I'll be pretty bummed the day I have to start waiting. Waiting might tip the scale for me from electric being a better roadtripping experience to gasoline. On the other hand, autopilot is pretty sweet.

I hope they don't fuck up supercharging like they've fucked up service. It's a necessary ingredient to a great overall experience.

If you're interested in autopilot in a traditional car, the Acura RLX, BMW 5-series, Mercedes C-class, Cadillac CT6, and Audi A4 have equivalent systems.

Owner of both a gas and electric vehicle here (Ford + Tesla).

Gas is still way cheaper. Electric (specifically Tesla) is way more convenient. All EVs will soon be more convenient as fast charging options become more available for all EVs.

I bet as EVs get cheaper, so does gasoline because of dropping demand. I doubt EVs will beat gas on long-term-ownership-cost within the next 5 years.

*EDIT: Should've noted I also live in the northeastern US which is probably relevant for both price and convenience factors.

What the fuck are these comments? At some point, when everyone has shut you out, don't you realize that you are the problem?

Some people think abstract principles matter more than specific edge-cases.

I'll just throw out that it's not a coincidence which specific edge-cases these people choose to get up in arms about.

Like, I don't see a lot of outrage from free speech types when liberal professors get fired for saying stupid shit. It's only a certain kind of speech being suppressed that they seem to care about.

Is it the same thing?

A better example would be if power companies and phone companies started disconnecting liberal professors for saying stupid shit.

I wasn't trying to make an analogy to this specific situation. You're right that it's not the same. I was just pointing out things I've noticed about the broader free speech discussion.

> from free speech types

How about center-left free speech types like me? I'm from the UK and it's so clear over hear which side of the spectrum "owns" free speech.

I think some people also use abstract principles as canards when they actually identify with said edge cases. Either way, it’s exhausting and pointless and poisons every conversation online (and some off) that touch on these issues. It’s like arguing about the value of birth control with a pope from a few decades ago. Facts don’t matter, only positions matter.

Free speech, as a right, has become obsolete given that corporations have become the medium for our communications. Anyone or anything can be censored. It's not about Alex being wrong.

Is Wikileaks a problem, or a solutition?

It can be both.

> At some point, when everyone has shut you out, don't you realize that you are the problem?

I remember everyone shutting out my brother for being gay.

They should've just built a custom launcher for Android. Could've resulted in the exact same effect with zero hardware of manufacturing overhead.

Well, there's the small matter of e-ink, which should drive battery usage waaaay down.

I'm not sure how you expected to avoid this.

Because I deleted my account immediately upon learning about the disclosures. I assumed the notifications would come via email or SMS. They've never had trouble doing that before now. For FB to turn this into yet another data collection vector, as well as tricking people who may have “deactivated” their accounts into logging back in and stopping the deactivation process, is just the height of evil absurdity. This is beyond the pale even for them.
