"My chicken sandwich last night came with bluetooth 5 compatibility. I connected it to my phone to track the journey through my digestive tract."

That's as appealing an idea as it is horrifying, honestly.

> Consider the streaming services which charge you but still serve ads

I pay for the ad-free experience on every service that offers it, and I still see ads. The 4 second hulu splash screen at the start of EVERY item I stream is still an ad. HBO, sorry MAX, showing 30s ads for other shows EVERY. TIME. I stream something, still an ad. At least those I can skip, but I shouldn't have to.

There was no real purpose to my post, I just needed to vent about that part your point.

I don't think you should continue using them if paying for them still has ads. We take collective action now or we end up with cable TV all over again.

That idea is basically the plot of the show "Based on A True Story".

I did just check this, and I found it fairly easy to filter by in-stock at my chosen store. Did you set a preferred store then filter by the "store pickup" option? Doing that, I returned results for chair mats with the option to check other local stores.

Virtual haberdashery owner is the dream I never knew I had, until now.

Since the other comments just say it's easy to find (very much true), I'll give you this link. Here he says the government should end subsidies. There's plenty more, I promise.

The thing is, if the government ended all subsidies it would be a much more level playing field for electric competitors to petroleum and Tesla wouldn't have to go hunting for its own subsidies.

That said the article is interesting because to my eyes he's pursuing the same "pull the ladder up" mentality that all the big players do:

> Musk also said he doesn’t believe the US government should be giving out subsidies to expand charging infrastructure

Of course he'd say that (so says my suspicious brain). In 2021 Tesla had a good lock on charging infra. Subsidizing it makes it easier for competitors to get in on it.

Not sure what it means, but in 2023 Tesla's charging standard is becoming closer to "the standard."[1]

Though I'm not a particularly religious person myself, I have to say this is commendable work. Your passion and conviction for both this project and your beliefs is very evident. I'm comforted seeing people able to balance the provable logics of science against the blind faiths sometimes asked of religion. Thankfully it seems to be a slowly growing trend.
