I think that you underestimate how people are willing to put some time to bring the truth out ... the current news is broken anyways... look at CNN and FOX.

My health insurance is buying hospital company stocks.

Vile

it is not my fault that they are being let run free

Oh I’m not calling you vile. The insurance companies are. Mine is already very intertwined with the hospitals in my area.

I think you misunderstood GP. I don't think he was claiming that the insurance company was literally buying stocks, he is saying his manner of insuring his health is buying hospital stocks (in the hope that their value will go up high enough to pay off any medical procedures he needs in the future).

that is correct

yes... One of the good things Trump did

> how are you going to replace the ad money and the viewers?

ads can be implemented but I'm not sure why you are saying that you couldn't get viewers...

network effect, as in people networks, not traffic networks.

He should not have faked the machine learning, but I like the idea. (And I hope that copyright fail to exist, or at least gets adjusted to what it should be... aka, the effectiveness should be the same as patents (not forever and not easily extended))

What are they going to need to accomplish the job, a global view on all communications? (aka a spying hub)

> [...] the initial backup though, especially on a cable internet connection is going to take weeks.

Initially, I drove my HDDs offsite... and I keep another offsite backup in my car.

In the car is rather clever, I hadn't thought of doing that.

I've been maintaining an offsite at a friend's house that I rotate out whenever I visit. The car would be a good extra. Encryption required, but I'm already doing that.

> In the car is rather clever,

I'd give them credit but I forgot where I got that idea from ;) but I don't even encrypt mine because it has a higher chance of recovery that way.

Are you not worried about the temperature variations?

> How a fast-food marketing campaign turned into a widespread Yuletide tradition for millions.

Christmas here too was a marketing campaign gone wrong.

I'm talking about modern Christmas.. with Santa, gifts, decorations, etc...

How so? And where’s here?

Much of the US retail market plans their whole year around Christmas. The percentage of their yearly income is from that season (for online retailers Black Friday, Cyber Monday) and is usually what gets them through the slower rest of the year.

In the USA... what a spending frenzy/waste it is... Not very eco-friendly.

And they already can't control cheaters...
